About Us
Founded in 2004 by Pascal Zurn and a group of passionate players, BC OMS is a dynamic badminton club based on the outskirts of Geneva, Switzerland. The club is built around a shared enthusiasm for badminton and a simple idea: regular play, physical activity, and a welcoming community where players enjoy the sport together.
BC OMS is open to all, welcoming players with different levels of experience. Each season, the club accepts up to 50 members, with priority given to existing members and staff of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Training schedule & Location
Training sessions take place every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening, excluding school holidays, at the Collège et École de Commerce André Chavanne in Petit Saconnex, just a short distance from WHO headquarters. Sessions typically include a warm up, technical drills, and match play, offering a good balance between improving skills and enjoying competitive games.
- Tuesdays – 8PM to 10PM | 20H to 22H
- Wednesdays – 8PM to 10PM | 20H to 22H
- Thursdays – 6PM to 8PM | 18H to 20H
Competition & Tournaments
Members of BC OMS, playing as the WHO team, also take part in tournaments such as the United Nations Inter Agency Games. Over the years, the club has achieved strong results, including second place in 2006, third place in 2007, and first place in 2008 and 2022, reflecting both the team spirit and competitive level of the club.

Our Committee
BC O.M.S. is run and managed by a Committee consisting of a President, Treasurer, Secretary (Social organiser), Webmaster and Members who are in regular contact. The Committee is elected at the annual General Assembly and Committee members normally serve a one year term of office.
